Chile vaccinations: which ones do you need?

Are you going to Chile soon? Then it is important to make proper preparations. Certain vaccinations are recommended for Chile, however not mandatory. The required vaccinations vary and depend on the areas you plan to visit during your travels in this South American country.

Chile is an elongated country with varying climates: a desert climate in the north; highland climate inlands; a Mediterranean climate in central Chile and a wintery climate in the south. Chile consists of a succession of diverse landscapes, ranging from extremely arid deserts in the north to fertile valleys around the capital Santiago to desolate pampas and vast ice fields in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
