Are you travelling to Rwanda soon? Please read our travel advice and prepare your trip well. We recommend vaccinations for Rwanda. Which specific vaccinations you require for your trip to Rwanda depends on the places you will visit and the duration of your stay in the land of a thousand hills.

The Republic of Rwanda is located in Eastern Africa and has borders with the Congo, Tanzania, Uganda and other countries. Rwanda lies at a high altitude giving the country a tropical climate with slightly lower temperatures. During the day, temperatures usually range between 20 and 27 degrees centigrade. Various diseases are prevalent in Rwanda to which you are likely not resistant. The right vaccines and measures can protect you against these.

Recommended vaccinations and risks

Vaccination against hepatitis A is recommended for all travelers to this country.

There is an increased risk of measles in this country. A MMR (Mumps Measles Rubella) vaccination is recommended for anyone who has not been vaccinated against measles or has experienced the disease.
