Malaysia vaccinations

which ones do you need?
Are you travelling to Malaysia? Prepare your journey well. Our KLM Health Service health experts recommend certain vaccinations for Malaysia. These are not mandatory in all cases, but they help reduce health risks for you and your children (if applicable).

Stunningly beautiful Malaysia is situated in Southeast Asia and has a tropical climate. It is always hot and humid with an average temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. Which vaccinations you require and what additional precautions you can take, depends on the places you plan to visit. A large part of Malaysia comprises of jungle. In these areas tropical diseases occur to which you may not be resistant. Vaccination against yellow fever is required if coming from or if you have been in transit for more than 12 hours in a country with a high risk area.

Vaccination against hepatitis A is recommended for all travelers to this country.
