If you go on holiday to Yemen, it is important to make the right preparations. In general, temperatures in Yemen are high and rainfall is low, with the exception of the higher elevations. It is warmest in the Tihamah on the west coast. This area has a tropical climate with temperatures that regularly exceed 50 °C and a humidity that is between 50% and 70%. Rain falls in irregular amounts with an annual average of 130 mm. The maximum temperature in Aden, on the south coast, ranges from an average of 25 °C in January to 32 °C in June and the amount of rain is comparable to the Tihamah.
