What does an emergency response officer do?
Your manager has appointed you as emergency response officer. You must act if there is a fire or any other emergency. But do you know how to respond? How do you organise initial care or evacuate a building? What should you do in the event of an accident? How can you save lives?
This training programme teaches you what steps you can and should take while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

Duration of the training
This is a two-day course.
The programme offers a good mix of theory and practice. You learn how to apply different dressings, administer CPR and use the Rautek method to move someone. You also learn how to operate an AED.
Recurrent training
You need to periodically complete recurrent training to maintain your knowledge and skills and to renew your certification. This is a one-day course.

What does it involve?
- Tasks of a company emergency response officer
- First aid when the patient is unresponsive and not breathing normally
- First aid for other injuries
- Communication in an emergency
- Containing and fighting fire in its early stages
- Evacuation: what, who and how?
- When and how to use an AED
