Do you need MMR immunisation?

MMR (Mumps, Measles, Rubella) vaccination is recommended for people travelling to a country with an increased risk of measles and who are probably – or certainly – not protected against measles. This applies to travellers born after 1964 who have never had measles. Adults born between 1965-1975 are relatively more prone to contract measles because they were born before measles immunisation was offered through the National Vaccination Programme of the Netherlands, and because this disease was less prevalent in their youth than it was in the years before.
