Periodic Occupational Medical Examination (POME)

What does a POME involve?

The POME assesses health risk factors related to the workplace. Through comprehensive questionnaires, health assessments, and modules, you will identify any necessary risks.

As an employer, you are obliged to offer employees regular health check-ups, although participation is not mandatory. Typically, a POME is offered every four years.

Difference between POME and PME

In addition to the POME, KLM Health Services also offers a Preventive Medical Examination (PME). The PME includes questions about lifestyle and health in general, in addition to health effects related to work-related health risks. After a PME, your employees will receive individual feedback along with personalised medical recommendations. This way, we ensure that employees remain energetic and healthy together.

When do I need a POME?

  • You are investing in the health and well-being of your employees. After all, healthy and energetic employees largely determine the success of a company.
  • You want to identify health risks and reduce these risks.
  • In certain cases, offering a POME is mandatory due to specific workplace risks.

Where does the POME take place?

The POME can be conducted at our locations in Den Haag or Schiphol-Oost. There is also the possibility for the examination to be carried out at your location.

Certified examination

KLM Health Services holds the necessary certifications to perform these examinations.
