Diver / compressed-air user examination

If you are a professional diver, you need to have a medical examination every year. At KLM Health Services, we offer both initial examinations for new divers and regular check-ups. We also provide examinations for companies that use compressed air.

What does this involve?

The examination starts with a detailed look at the individual’s medical history. After that, we perform several tests, including blood and urine tests, as well as checking height, weight, body fat percentage, BMI, and blood pressure.

We also check hearing and vision, do a resting ECG, carry out lung function tests, and perform a maximal exertion test. If needed, we may also take an X-ray of the lungs during the initial examination.

When is the examination needed?

  • Working under pressure can be risky for your health. That’s why it’s important for professional divers to have an examination every year. This helps ensure that the diver doesn’t have any health conditions that could be dangerous while or right after diving. An examination at KLM Health Services helps to identify any potential health problems.
