Sun
One of the enjoyable aspects of traveling often is soaking up the sun. Yet there is also a downside to the sun: its power. It's wise to be careful with direct sunlight, so you don't damage your skin or get heatstroke.
Here are some tips:
- Don't go out into the blazing sun between 11.00 AM and 3.00PM.
- Adjust your activities according to the sun, temperature, and climate.
- Make sure to drink enough water.
- In strong sunlight: wear long clothing and cover your head.
- Bring good sunscreen, especially for children, with a high sun protection factor (SPF of 50+).
- Avoid walking barefoot; you can burn your feet.
- Use good sunscreen with a high sun protection factor, even if you spend a lot of time in the shade.
